Check a stub — free

That pay stub your applicant sent? Check it in 60 seconds.

Fake stubs cost independent landlords months of unpaid rent and eviction fees. StubCheck runs the same consistency checks a forensic underwriter would — math, tax rates, dates, and PDF fingerprints.

🔒 100% in your browser. The document never leaves your computer.

Your findings will appear here. Green = consistent with real payroll. Red = the kind of mistake stub generators make.

Want employer verification too?

The math checks catch sloppy fakes. The good fakes need a phone-verified employer + bank-deposit cross-check — we're rolling that out as StubCheck Pro ($19 per screening, pay only when you use it). Leave your email and get your first 3 Pro screenings free at launch.

No spam. One launch email + your free screening codes.

What it checks

Payroll math
Gross − deductions = net, rate × hours, YTD accumulation vs. calendar — real payroll software never gets these wrong. Generators routinely do.
Tax fingerprints
Social Security is exactly 6.2%, Medicare 1.45%. Round-dollar withholding and impossible rates are the #1 giveaway.
PDF forensics
Real stubs come out of ADP, Gusto, Paychex pipelines. Stubs "printed" from Canva, Word, or a browser leave fingerprints in the file.

This fraud is real — landlords talk about it every week

Real posts from landlord communities. Document-fraud screening exists for big multifamily operators (Snappt, Findigs) — but it's enterprise-only. StubCheck brings the same checks to 1–50 door landlords, free.

“One fabricated application slipping through costs $3,500–8,000 in eviction, arrears, and damage.”
